Privacy Policy
Overview
Hive Foundry publishes small utility applications and web tools. This policy describes how we handle information across all products released under the Hive Foundry developer account. Where individual applications collect different data, the app's own store listing or in-app notice will say so.
The short version: we collect as little as possible, we do not sell data, and we do not track you across apps or services.
Information we collect
Most Hive Foundry tools are designed to work without collecting personal information. Where data is involved, it falls into one of the following categories:
- Input data you provide: Text, values, or files you enter into a tool to receive a result. This data is processed locally or in-memory and is not stored on or transmitted to our servers.
- Contact correspondence: If you email us, we receive your address and any content you choose to include. We use this only to respond to you.
- Crash and diagnostic data: Some apps may collect anonymised crash reports through third-party services (such as Firebase Crashlytics). This data is used solely to identify and fix technical issues and contains no personally identifiable information.
Information we do not collect
- We do not create user accounts or persistent user profiles.
- We do not track your activity across applications or websites.
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
- We do not use your data to serve targeted advertising, unless explicitly stated for a specific application.
Third-party services
Our applications are distributed through Google Play. Google's own privacy policy applies to the Play Store and any interaction with it. Depending on the specific application, one or more of the following third-party services may be present:
- Google Play Services: required by Android; governs Play Store distribution and in-app billing where applicable
- Firebase / Crashlytics: anonymised crash reporting and app stability diagnostics
- Google AdMob: advertising, where applicable; only present in apps that explicitly state ad support
Each app's Play Store listing specifies which third-party services are active in that product. Each provider's own privacy policy governs how they handle any data they receive.
Children's privacy
Our applications are not directed at children under the age of 13, or under 16 where required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hivefoundry@proton.me and we will delete it promptly.
Data retention
We do not maintain databases of user data. Contact emails are retained only for as long as needed to resolve your enquiry. Crash reports processed through third-party services are subject to those providers' own retention policies.
Your rights under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding personal data we hold about you:
- Access: request a copy of any personal data we hold
- Rectification: request correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure: request deletion of your data
- Restriction: request that we limit how we process your data
- Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hivefoundry@proton.me. We will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our products evolve. Changes will be reflected at this URL with a revised effective date. Continued use of our applications after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. For significant changes we will make a reasonable effort to provide notice.
